Our History
The Arrowhead Company was established in 1954 to provide quality-inspection services for the compressed gas container industry. Approved as an independent inspection agency by both the U.S. Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) and the Canadian Transport Commission (CTC), the firm grew rapidly over the next decade and restructured as Arrowhead Industrial Services in 1964.
When the U.S. Department of Transportation replaced the ICC as regulatory authority, Arrowhead Industrial became the first independent inspection agency to receive its approval. (IA01). Since that time, the company has been officially approved/recognized by over ten national authorities as well as various branches of the U.S. Department of Defense.
In 1998, Arrowhead Industrial was recognized by UKAS, the United Kingdom Accreditation Service, for its commitment to the ISO 17020 quality management system, its technical competence, and its business integrity.
